90th Church Anniversary and 10th Pastoral Celebration - Saturday, October 19, 2024 @ the Best Western Premier Hotel and Conference Center

This weekend, North 17th St C.O.G celebrated its 90th Anniversary and Pastor Greg Long 10th Anniversary as the Pastor of the Church!  Everyone had a great time socializing and honoring some of our Sisters and Brothers. And of course, we gave God the glory!

The theme for the day was, "Gearing Up for Life's Big Game.  Bro. Rishon Sims was the worship leader and the sermon was brought by Pastor Mike Abreu.  Bro. Herbie Hall led the congregational hym and then provided a solo with the song, "Waymaker."  The Anointed Sisters performed a praise dance to the song, "We All Bleed the Same.

To support the Central PA Food Bank, on Sunday October 18, 2020, immediately following the Sunday Morning Service, our church including children and youth walked through Wildwood Park for two (2) worthy causes to end hunger here and around the world.  

 

Good-bye, Farewell Deaconess Charlese Farmer


Sunday, September 27, 2020 was Deaconess Farmer's last day at North 17th St. Church of God.  She served faithfully for 20 years as an Usher, Worship Leader, Prayer Warrior and Deacon.  She will be greatly missed as she and her family transition to Georgia to begin a new chapter in their lives. 

Deacon Charlese was celebrated by friends, family and her church family with a Farewell/Good-bye Drive-by on Sunday afternoon.  Thank you for your service, friendship and love, Deacon Charlese and God bless you and give you traveling mercies!
